About the foundation
The Waikato Medical Research Foundation was established in 1986 for the purposes of both promoting and funding medical research in the Waikato, and attracting new people to jobs both at the Hospital and the University.
To date, the foundation has given almost a million dollars in grants to a variety of research projects. The impact of this research can be felt in many fields in the medical profession.
